Ivy Creek Natural Area and Historic River View Farm, often associated with the Ivy Creek area, is a 219-acre preserve six miles north of Charlottesville, Virginia, featuring upland woods, pine stands, open fields, streams, rolling hills, and two miles of shoreline along the South Fork Rivanna Reservoir. This site, shadowed by the Blue Ridge Mountains, offers peaceful walks and highlights Central Virginia's natural history plus its African American heritage as the former River View Farm owned by the Carr and Greer families since 1870.
